China’s unit production of β-carotene has increased significantly compared to 2020. Combined with the reduction in fixed costs due to larger-scale facilities, the fermentation method is gradually approaching the price range of traditional chemical products. This is driving faster adoption of green raw materials in the food and nutritional supplements sectors.
The formation of cost competitiveness will further stimulate the willingness of upstream and downstream industries to purchase biomanufactured coloring solutions.
